Actuarial Science Exam Prize

The Actuarial Science Exam Prize is an award for students who are successful in passing actuarial science exams administered by either the Society of Actuaries or the Casualty Actuarial Society.

Preference is given to the first two exams - Exam P (Probability) and Exam FM (Financial Mathematics). Additional exams will be considered based upon availability of funds.

The number of awards made each given year and the amount of the awards will be based upon available funds that support the exam prize.

The Department of Mathematics will select award recipients on a first-come, first-served basis. To guarantee full consideration, submit the following to Alyssa Garber (cappiel6@msu.edu) within 45 days of receiving the official score:

  • Student name
  • Official proof of passing the exam, with the student's name clearly listed
  • Proof of payment, with the student's name clearly listed
  • Student ID number

Any requests submitted after the 45-day deadline will require the approval of the Director of the Actuarial Science Program.

For further information, please contact Alyssa Garber at cappiel6@msu.edu.
