The Actuarial Science Advisory Board was formed in 2008 to help steer the actuarial science program in the direction of attaining its vision to deliver quality education and research. The board receives strong support from MSU alumni and friends. Members of the advisory board consist of a diverse group of individuals with expertise in actuarial science and insurance, and with a profound interest in the MSU program. They support the program by advising faculty and staff on knowledge and skill requirements for industry careers, serving as mentors to student scholars, introducing the program to possible new employers, and extending help with fundraising for student scholarships.
